Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

Sam snakes his arms around her from behind and kisses the back of her neck.

"Hey, Beautiful."

It's...odd, having no wings and being able to to do this, but Medusa gathers her hair (and snakes) out of the way, and leans back against him.

"Hey."

He kisses her skin again, just under her ear this time.

"You all right?"

Which is nice. And it's nice being held like this, quite honestly, so Medusa is just going to enjoy it.

"Um. Kinda."

"Stressed out?"

It's possible that there is some nuzzling happening now. Just possible.

"Don't worry. You look like a goddess, but none of this lot is going to suspect you could possibly be anything but human."

Medusa would in no shape or form object to this hypothetical nuzzling, if it turned out to not be hypothetical.

Hypothetically speaking.

"Thank you. It's just..." Her voice trails off and when she speaks again, it's in a form of Tamazight. "So many people in a little space, and...it's not my world. Still. Um. Having fun?"

Hypothetically.

Sam answers her in the same language. "I know. We can vanish in a little while, if it all gets too much."

A beat, then in English: "Did I mention that you look fantastic? Because. You look fantastic."

"That...might be a good idea. I'll see how I go, though." And then she smiles, a little giddy.

"Thank you. You look...Scruffy. But, uh, very sexy, I think the term is."

Sam laughs against her skin. "Thank you."

He's still a little bit amazed at having a girl this beautiful on his arm.

"I don't feel sexy. I hate suits. But, thank you."

"It's the noose around your neck. And the jacket. Might be better without them."

"It's a tie, not a noose. Much less killy."

Beat. "...Usually."

He kisses her neck again. "Feel free to remove them for me, if you want."

"But then you'd have to carry them," she tells him, serenely.

"Mean," he tells her sternly, but ruins the effect by briefly kissing her.

"I feel certain I could cope with that, anyway."

"You're very hardy, it's true."

He gives her a look that's full of mischief.

"So I'm often told."

She's not looking at him - back against his chest, head resting against his shoulder - but, she knows him.

"...I'm sure you mean some kind of...thing, there, and I'm just ignoring it."
