Reception

Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

"Mean," he tells her sternly, but ruins the effect by briefly kissing her.

"I feel certain I could cope with that, anyway."

He gives her a look that's full of mischief.

"So I'm often told."

She's not looking at him - back against his chest, head resting against his shoulder - but, she knows him.

"...I'm sure you mean some kind of...thing, there, and I'm just ignoring it."

"You're very mean to ignore me, Medusa Gorgos."

...As he nuzzles her neck. Yep, he's really feeling the hate.

"Medha," she corrects, closing her eyes. "Last name subject to debate."

"Only matters when other people can hear us," he murmurs in her ear.

"And they're not going to, not right now."
