Reception

Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

Well, there is one young woman who is probably a good bet as coming from Milliways. Short, even with the heels of her sandals, and if she's black-haired and olive-skinned like Guppy's family, she's also giving the impression that she might fly away. Not terribly human of her, really, for all she looks like it.

Still, she gives Rapunzel a quick, darting smile.

"Really?" she says, "Guess my memories haven't caught up with me yet."

"Hope she is behaving herself." though she doubts it.

Momiji shies back a little at the woman's tone, giving a quick wince, before asking curiously:

"So...a row's like a fight, right?"

Which is why she brings her fingers to her mouth and makes a piercing, almost-shatter-glass whistle.

"Yes, she is. Wouldn't have been able to help her without you though."

Once Mia sees the fight, she gently elbows Draco and says, "Oh look, dear. It's almost like what happened at our wedding."

At least the Malfoys left before the reception.

The boy pops his hat off his head, holding it in both hands and thoughtfully running his hands along the edges of its bottom.

"Can you do it later? You'll make the bride and groom and everyone sad."

The mothers suddenly look embarrassed.

"Don't tell the couple." Frogspawn's mother mutters, heading off around the front of the house.

"Oh stop that." she gives him another hug. It's been years she is allowed.

"How is Scampi?"

He happily takes her in his arms, the purple of her dress catching the purple of his tie as he spins her and gives her a kiss,

"Love ye, Kate."

"Don't look at me." Frogspawn's mother snaps at Guppy's. "He's not from my side of the family."

Both mothers begin to look embarrassed at being told off by a child.

In an elegantly wrapped package from Kate and Will, a green mixer is inside, along with the mixer is a gift certificate for a fun food store.

"He ate the wedding cake." Guppy says with an eyeroll.

Amanda smiles, "I wont." she promises not wanting to bother the two with this anyway.

She looks at Guppy's mother and offers her hand, "I'm Amanda."

"Oooh, but it is," she purrs.

(If she were another person, she might feel bad about this - it's less about Guppy's wedding, and more that the two stupid women have given her a target. But, she's not, so she doesn't.)

"Guppy's my friend. And you are both, both of you, acting completely selfish. You feel like fighting? Fine. Save it, and do it later."

It takes Teja a moment to recognise her. He himself is wearing black, modern clothes -- leather breeches, and a silk shirt, no suit, and definitely no tie! -- and drinking red wine from a glass, observing the people.
