Guppy's 30th Birthday Party

Having collected everyone from the bar, Guppy leads them back through to the house, where they enter through the kitchen.

The living room furniture has been mostly moved out of the way, and that's where the most of the party has been set up. The sofa and some chairs are around the edge of the room, and there's music playing. The kitchen is a bit small so the food is being taken through into the dining room. Also a little on the small side, but enough for purpose. All of the baby gates are open on the ground floor, but not on the stairs.

Upstairs, the spare bedroom has been set aside for any little people at the party. It's a bit quieter, with baby-sized food, some toys, and a DVD of Pingu playing.

"You had the flu too?" Guppy suddenly looks really guilty. "Oh man, I must have given that to you, I'm sorry."

"Good. Let's eat, drink and be merry." Grin. "Thanks for the present by the way, I haven't opened it yet."

Guppy gives Will a big hug.

"Well, I'm not going to be drinking, Frogs and I have a deal that Alex must never see his parents intoxicated."

"Why na? Mean anyway ye dinna drink lots."

"In case it scares him." Guppy says. "And yeah, I do from time to time..."

"Aye, but still ye're na as bad as ye've been."

"Thanks. Well, I have to be responsible now."

He grabs some more cake.

"Frogs thinks we should have another one."

"Yeah, but now I can't go home hung over."

"Well, nay, but still ne'er did drink as much as us either."

"Yeah, but if I drank like you and Atton, I'd die. Remember that time I drank a glass of rum?"

"Yeah, I don't remember anything until waking up on the floor of my bathroom with a piece of toilet roll stuck to my face."

"No, hense not wanting to scare Alex. Frogspawn doesn't drink much at all, she never gets beyond giggly."

Will takes another piece of cake before asking,

"Do ye wish for 'nother child?"

"Definitely at some point." Guppy says. "But, well... I'm not sure we can handle another one at the moment. Alex is hard work."

"Well, yeah, we'll try and have planning this time."

"Depends on what you use." Guppy says with a wink. "We're not being super careful, I have to admit."
