Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

"We are. I didn't really expect to ever fall in love again."

She isn't sure how long it's been since Amanda was in the bar.

"It kind of strange right now. For some reason, the outdoor area is now a jungle, and the last time I checked there were little blobs of something that looks like dough wandering around. I have no idea if they're new patrons, or just something weird, so I've steered clear."

"Probably wise. If it's something funny I'm sure security is taking care of it." the jungle though has her thinking.

"Love is a wonderful thing."

"That was my thought. If they are new patrons, I wouldn't want to get jailed for violence if I kicked one, or something."

She smiles.

"No argument. What have you been up to since you've been away?"

"Moving around mostly. In a few years I think I'll try opening up another night club. I really miss that life."

"Where would you set one up? I think Alex said you'd had one in Paris once?"

"I did. But it came time for me to move on." she considers, "I don't know where I would. Perhaps in the US. Los Angeles. Or maybe Rio, it's been too long since I've been there." she grins.

Wondering, "What have you been up to?"

"It must be fabulous to travel."

There's just a hint of envy in her voice.

"I've been spending some time in Alex's world, I tend bar at Milliways every now ant then. I recently made a quilt for a housewarming gift for Guppy and Frogspawn, and have been doing a bit of painting. Keeping busy."

"It gets old." she admits. "It's nice to have a place to call home."

"Painting. That sounds glorious." she considers, "It seems that I have a younger version of myself that visits Milliways now. Perhaps she can take you to meet some famous painters." she offers on behalf of her past self.

"A younger version of yourself? Good Lord! That must get terribly confusing!"

She shakes her head.

"I'd love to see some of the original works when they were a little newer. I don't know that Alex would have much interest."

"I suppose that's why I haven't seen lady bar in some time. I only just found out. It seems that Guppy knows her."

"No I can't quite imagine he would but I suppose it can't hurt to ask." she chuckles.

"How could he resist an invitation from two beautiful ladies? Perhaps you should try leaving a note for your younger self."

That could be either amusing or dangerous.

"Though she might not be from the same version of Earth as you."

"I don't know. Though I have yet to meet anyone like me that isn't from my version of Earth. Of course with Milliways anything is possible."

"Very true. I've often wondered if there are other versions of fables somewhere, but I haven't met any in the bar."

"Perhaps." she smiles. Wondering, "Do you get lonely?"

"Not really. There's one fable in the bar that I don't like or trust, and another showed up recently, but I've only talked to once. A couple of centuries of living in each other's pockets, and a year or so away from them isn't so bad."

Amadna nods, "Who is it that you dont' trust?"

"Goldilocks."

Her tone holds a wealth of distaste.

"She's got a lot of friends around the bar, and claims to have changed, but I just can't bring myself to believe it. At home, everyone thinks she's dead, or she'd be wanted for treason against Fabletown."

Amanda looks suprised to here that, "What did she do?" yes the immortal likes gossip.

"She lead an insurrection, with a lot of the animals at The Farm, against Fabletown. They broke our laws, imprisoned a good man and made him modify mundy weapons to fit the animals. She shot Snow White in the head...you name it, she's crazy. She escaped, and was hit by a truck; we thought her dead. There were trials afterward, and a lot of the participants were executed."

It wasn't a pleasant time.

"She returned later, and tried again to kill Snow White and Bigby Wolf."

"Oh my." Amanda will have to look out for this one.

"The 'no business' rule at the bar keeps us out of each other's hair. I'm just worried for what will happen to all of these people who call her a friend if she ever shows her true colors."

There's really not much danger of that in the bar, but it's a worry all the same.

"Well there isn't much that you can do about that. They will trust and befriend who they will. If they get hurt it is soemthing that they will have to deal with." Amanda has no idea who they are but she is confident in the truth of her statement.

"I would be more comfortable with that if one of her best friends wasn't one of Alex's friends, too. Still, you're right about the rest. I steer clear, and let those who want to risk it be friends with her...it's none of my business what other people choose."

She sips her wine and waves a Alex as he dances with one of other guests.

Amanda watches him for a moment with a smile glad to see he is alright.

"I hope you dont' let him work too hard."

"I don't think anyone can stop him, once he gets a notion into his head. His column is doing well, though, and there's been a couple of more superheroes showing up around his world; that always makes him happy."
