Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

"I think I was an only child. I was the first child of peasants who were foolish enough to steal from a witch's garden. The witch demanded they hand be over in payment, and they did."

There's not much emotion in her voice. It was a long time ago.

"I don't know if they ever had more children after I was taken away."

"It sounds like something that would happen in my world."

"It might be the same one, with just a huge time difference, though it's hard to say. We had kingdoms all over our world, and we didn't really pay much attention to what was going on in the others until it was too late."
