Reception

Guppy's house. What little furniture there is has been mostly moved upstairs, apart from the threadbare sofa, bean bag and a few newly mended garden chairs.

The whole area is decorated with ribbons and flowers.

Her voice calms a bit, the tone warm, "And it's done. They are married.Going to start a family. So why are you fighting?"

"Because we don't approve of the match!" Both mothers shout in unison, and then look at one another.

The mothers suddenly look embarrassed.

"Don't tell the couple." Frogspawn's mother mutters, heading off around the front of the house.

Amanda smiles, "I wont." she promises not wanting to bother the two with this anyway.

She looks at Guppy's mother and offers her hand, "I'm Amanda."

"He has always been a disappointment." she says. "I came back today only because Darvesh insisted I would regret it if we didn't. He has gone soft."

"I don't know how you could say he is a disappointment. He saves peoples lives. He works hard. Cares about people. He's extremely responsible. He is a very special man." she has that, 'I should know' tone in her voice.
