[ooc: After this and this]

Un-break my heart
Say you'll love me again
Undo this hurt you caused
When you walked out the door
And walked outta my life
Un-cry these tears
I cried so many nights
Un-break my heart
My heart
(Toni Braxton)

Guppy stares down at the printout in front of him. Peter Venkman's blood test results are worrying.
Because there's nothing abnormal about them in the slightest. It's two in the morning, and he's been through everything he can think of twice. The sodium levels, important in nerve conduction, are normal. Potassium is normal. Calcium, needed for muscle contraction is normal. Glucose, slightly low but normal taking into account that Peter hadn't eaten all day. Ketone bodies very slightly elevated, but again, he hadn't eaten. Nothing to suggest the muscle is actually being broken down, just somehow disabled.
He finds his eyelids drooping and forces them open. No, just a little longer. He knows he's in for a migraine. With the lack of sleep it has been inevitable for days. But he also reckons he can probably hold it together for another half an hour or so, during which time, he might be able to solve the case to help a very sick friend, who is getting sicker.
He forces his separation with Helen out of his mind. It stings him in the background, hurting like the stabbing of thousands of knives, but he needs to keep focus.
Focus... the room spins horribly. Need to find out what the hell is going on. There has to be something I've missed. Go away migraine I don't have time! This isn't Holby. There may not be anyone else. Peter's relying on me.
His brain decides it has had enough and he slumps forward onto the desk, before falling off his chair onto the floor.
Nobody hears except the cat.
He sleeps.
