Guppy's 30th Birthday Party

Having collected everyone from the bar, Guppy leads them back through to the house, where they enter through the kitchen.

The living room furniture has been mostly moved out of the way, and that's where the most of the party has been set up. The sofa and some chairs are around the edge of the room, and there's music playing. The kitchen is a bit small so the food is being taken through into the dining room. Also a little on the small side, but enough for purpose. All of the baby gates are open on the ground floor, but not on the stairs.

Upstairs, the spare bedroom has been set aside for any little people at the party. It's a bit quieter, with baby-sized food, some toys, and a DVD of Pingu playing.

"Thanks. Well, I have to be responsible now."

He grabs some more cake.

"Frogs thinks we should have another one."

"Well, nay, but still ne'er did drink as much as us either."

"Yeah, but if I drank like you and Atton, I'd die. Remember that time I drank a glass of rum?"

"Oh aye, didna suit ye."

"Yeah, I don't remember anything until waking up on the floor of my bathroom with a piece of toilet roll stuck to my face."

"Aye, ye've na much o''ead for liquor."

"No, hense not wanting to scare Alex. Frogspawn doesn't drink much at all, she never gets beyond giggly."

Will takes another piece of cake before asking,

"Do ye wish for 'nother child?"

"Definitely at some point." Guppy says. "But, well... I'm not sure we can handle another one at the moment. Alex is hard work."

"Oh aye, guess ye can truly decide when ye wish to 'ave one."

"Well, yeah, we'll try and have planning this time."

"Is it a 'ard thing for ye to do? The plannin' an all?"

"Depends on what you use." Guppy says with a wink. "We're not being super careful, I have to admit."

"Oh aye, 'rhaps means ye do want 'nother one sooner then."

"I think it's more that we get a bit..." he goes slightly pink. "Overexcited, at times."

"Er, don't tell her I said that." Embarrassed grin.

"Alex doesn't doze off until eleven, but it's a great relief when he does."

"Sure it is, least ye've lots o'space to yerself too."

"Yeah, especially now we've finally got them all safe and accessible."

"Aye, truly 'ave made yerselves a 'ome."

Will looks around and grabs a beer to take a long drink of, at least Doc was able to have his home for a time.

"Yeah, I think we'll settle here for life." Guppy says contentedly. "Of course if we have more than two children we'll have to extend it."

"Ye've the space for it."

Guppy nods.

"Plenty of room out back if we wanted to expand too. We've been thinking of extending the kitchen, but that would be a lot of hassle."
