Dec. 29th, 2008 08:13 pmNow that the busy Christmas time is over, Guppy finds himself spending the afternoon in the park, with his wife and her sister and a niece in toe.
"Well, before you go to your shrink in total despair, you might as well try these." Hannah says, tossing him a bottle of tablets. "It's a herbal anxiety remedy, got me clear of panic attacks when I got pregnant with Abby."
Guppy looks at the small green pills. The sisters around him nod encouragingly.
"She's not kidding." Frogspawn says, snuggling up to Guppy. "Improvement from the first one, gotcha clean in three months didn't it Hannah?"
"What's in it?" Guppy asks. Hannah reels off a list of its ingredients.
"You're going to have to trust me." she says. "Nothing harmful in it in any case. Nobody's done any research on it, so no point in poking around on the internet. Just try it, one in the morning, and you can take a second one if you need it acutely. Let me know if you need any more, I can get'm cheap."
"Uncle Gummy, push me on the swing!" Abby calls, coming over and pulling him over to the other side of the playground. Frogspawn grins at Hannah.
"Is that the same stuff I gave you?"
"Yeah. Worked on me, didn't it?"
Frogspawn nods.
"So long as he doesn't look it up successfully and work out it's a cold preventative I'm sure he'll be fine."
