Oct. 29th, 2008 09:34 pmFrogspawn shifts slowly to sitting up, keeping snuggled up on the sofa. First false contraction a few minutes ago, and even though she knows they're common long before labour, it made her jump. She smiles tiredly as Guppy comes downstairs, clutching one of the bar scanners.
"Here, keep still." He says gently, sitting and running the scanner over her, then turning it around to show her the fully three dimentional picture of their baby.
They share a precious moment looking at the picture, curled up together. The moment made all the better by the data popping up in the corner of the screen - 'All signs normal'.
He takes a picture of the screen with his phone, kisses his wife on the cheek, then leaves her to have a nap.
