Aug. 12th, 2008 08:51 pmIt's handy both working in a hospital when you have to go for an ultrasound; no need to get lost or travel to get there.
Since in a week's time they'll be far too busy, and because of the initial hospital visit that led to the discovery of the pregnancy, Frogspawn's scan was arranged for eleven weeks rather than twelve. All the first scan showed was a rather indistinctive bean-shape white blob with a beating heart, so this next one is being looked forward to with anticipation.
"There you are." the sonographer turns the screen around. "There's a little heart, that's an ear, got little feet there... too early for the sex of course but depends if you want to know. All looks fine there."
They get a printout each to show excited people, then part ways until after work.
