Jul. 18th, 2007 04:19 pmThere is the sound of angry bush breaking.
Guppy's hot, and tired, and hungry. He's missed his damn exam that he spent all that time studying for, and he still doesn't have any plan that doesn't involve him finding the bar.
And he's pretty sure a week will have gone by in there now, which means Sam and Atton will have the notes and...
Guys, if you can hear me, I'm sorry. You're probably wondering why I didn't tell you.
I didn't tell you because you'd have come with me and ripped his damn heart out. I had nothing new to pin on him until now. The police must have enough by the time I escape or am rescued to finish him off for good.
And I warned you in the note in case I screwed up.
He puts his head in his hands for a moment, knowing that when he gets home everyone's going to be royally pissed off with him. And that he deserves it. And that he's been a junior doctor for nearly three years and still won't have passed his exams. And that with his blatent reputation as a liability he's probably going to lose his job.
The thought vanishes as the sounds of a dog begin, getting louder by the second.
"Go on boy! Kill!"
Guppy doesn't even have time to swear, leaping up and bolting through the forest.
