You know what Will and Guppy also don't have enough of?

Walls.

Huge, ethereal walls of smoke that block off the way to Milliways and slide across the ground towards them with unnerving speed.

Guppy drops his sandwich.

"Will... run!" He scrambles to his feet, grabbing Will by the arm.

Before Guppy has time to say it, Will's already up and on his feet, trying to find a hole.

There is no hole to be found, or at least, not in time.

The wall is fast. It wants to be friends.

There is barely a second's opportunity to do anything before it sweeps over them and vanishes, taking them with it.
